CeLight to Feature VectorWAVE™, a New Digital Coherent
Optical Platform for Military, Homeland Security and Commercial
Applications, at MILCOM 2003
Company CTO to Lead Session on Optical Communications
Oct. 13, 2003 – Silver Spring, Md. - CeLight, Inc., a
leader in digital coherent optical technologies and products,
today announced it will feature the VectorWAVE™ multi-application
platform for advanced military, homeland security and commercial
systems at the MILCOM 2003 military communications show in Boston,
Oct. 13-16.
The company also announced that Dr. Isaac Shpantzer, CeLight's
co-founder and CTO, will co-chair Session U026 on Optical Communications
for Military and Homeland Defense Applications on Thursday,
October 16th. He will discuss solutions for Secure Optical Communications,
a hot topic as the government prepares to invest billions of
dollars into next generation optical communications in space,
air and fiber networks.
CeLight’s VectorWAVE™ is a unique, multi-application
platform that combines state-of-the-art coherent optical technology
with digital processing to synthesize, transmit, receive,
analyze and process a vast array of high-speed, coherent optical
signals.
VectorWAVE™ based systems will accelerate the transformation
of the military from RF (radio frequency) to optical solutions
across a broad set of applications. For optical communications,
VectorWAVE™ provides next-generation performance including
enhanced security and jamming resistance. For coherent laser
radar (LADAR) and vibrometry, VectorWAVE™ improves target
tracking and discrimination. Furthermore, VectorWAVE™
will trigger a whole new domain of capabilities for optical
signals intelligence and opto-electronic warfare.
Powered by VectorWAVE™, CeLight will also present at
Booth 224 its new AgiLight™ product family of Optical-Field
Waveform Synthesizers and Analyzers, which establish a whole
new class of prototyping and test equipment.
